The terms and conditions governing the use of Mavtech Designs services and website.

By accessing the Mavtech Designs website, requesting a quote, submitting design files, or engaging any of our prototyping and manufacturing services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our website or services.
Mavtech Designs provides rapid prototyping and manufacturing services, including but not limited to CAD design, 3D printing (FDM, SLA, SLS), CNC machining, plasma cutting, and related engineering services. All services are performed in accordance with the specifications, materials, and quantities agreed upon between you and Mavtech Designs at the time of order confirmation.
All quotes provided by Mavtech Designs are estimates based on the information and design files you provide at the time of your request. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the project scope, specifications, materials, or quantities change after the initial quote.
An order is considered confirmed once you have approved the quote in writing (including email), provided final design files, and submitted any required deposit or payment. Mavtech Designs reserves the right to decline any order at its discretion.
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and manufacturing-ready design files in an accepted format (e.g., STEP, STL, IGES, DXF, or other formats as specified). Mavtech Designs is not responsible for defects or delays caused by errors, omissions, or ambiguities in your submitted files. We may offer a design review service for an additional fee to identify potential manufacturability issues before production begins.
All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and do not include shipping, applicable taxes, or duties unless explicitly stated. Pricing is based on current material costs, labor rates, and machine time at the time of quoting and is subject to change for future orders.
Payment terms are specified on each invoice or quote. For new clients, we typically require full payment or a deposit before production begins. Established clients may be eligible for net-15 or net-30 payment terms at our discretion. Late payments may incur a fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.
For custom manufacturing orders, a non-refundable deposit of up to 50% may be required before production begins. The deposit will be applied toward the total order cost. The remaining balance is due upon completion and before shipment.
Estimated lead times are provided at the time of quoting and are based on current production schedules. While we make every effort to meet estimated timelines, lead times are not guaranteed and may be affected by factors including material availability, design complexity, production volume, and unforeseen circumstances. Mavtech Designs is not liable for damages resulting from delays.
Shipping costs are calculated separately and added to your invoice. Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier. Mavtech Designs is not responsible for damage or loss that occurs during transit. We recommend purchasing shipping insurance for high-value orders.
You are responsible for inspecting all delivered parts within 7 business days of receipt. Any claims for defects, shortages, or discrepancies must be reported in writing within this inspection period. Parts not rejected within 7 business days are deemed accepted.
Unless specific tolerances are agreed upon in writing, Mavtech Designs manufactures parts to the following standard tolerances:
Tighter tolerances may be available upon request and may affect pricing and lead times. Parts will be manufactured in accordance with good industry practices and applicable specifications.
You retain full ownership of all intellectual property rights in the designs, CAD files, and specifications you provide to us. Mavtech Designs does not claim any ownership rights to your designs or the finished products we manufacture for you.
We treat all client designs, specifications, and project details as confidential information. We will not disclose, share, reproduce, or use your designs for any purpose other than fulfilling your order without your prior written consent. This obligation survives the termination of our business relationship.
By submitting design files to Mavtech Designs, you represent and warrant that you own or have the legal right to use and reproduce those designs, and that the manufacture of parts from those designs does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights. You agree to indemnify Mavtech Designs against any claims arising from intellectual property infringement related to your submitted designs.
Mavtech Designs warrants that all manufactured parts will conform to the agreed-upon specifications and will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the date of delivery. This warranty does not cover defects resulting from your design, misuse, improper handling, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear.
If a part is found to be defective under this warranty, Mavtech Designs will, at its sole discretion, either repair or replace the defective part at no additional cost or issue a refund for the defective part. This is your sole and exclusive remedy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mavtech Designs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from or related to our services, regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable or whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
You may cancel an order at any time before production begins by providing written notice. If production has not started, any deposit paid (less a 10% administrative fee) will be refunded. Once production has begun, cancellation is subject to payment for all work completed, materials procured, and any non-recoverable costs incurred.
We reserve the right to cancel an order if we determine that the project is not feasible, if materials are unavailable, or for any other reasonable cause. In such cases, we will refund any payments made for undelivered work.
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use our website in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the site or interfere with other users. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website or its systems. All content on the website, including text, images, graphics, and code, is owned by Mavtech Designs and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mavtech Designs and its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
Mavtech Designs shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, equipment failures, power outages, labor disputes, government actions, or acts of war or terrorism.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in the State of Michigan in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Mavtech Designs reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any specific project agreements or quotes, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mavtech Designs regarding the subject matter herein and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
