Computer-Controlled Precision Manufacturing

Mavtech Designs delivers expert CNC machining services built on computer-controlled precision cutting, milling, and turning. Our machines translate your digital designs into physical parts with repeatable accuracy, producing complex geometries that manual machining simply cannot achieve.

We routinely hold tight tolerances of ± 0.005″ as standard, with ± 0.001″ precision available for critical features. Combined with excellent surface finishes straight off the machine, our CNC capabilities produce parts that meet demanding fit and function requirements without secondary operations.

Whether you need functional prototypes to validate a design, end-use parts for assembly, or precision tooling for your own production line, our CNC machining services deliver the quality and consistency your application demands.

Materials We Machine

We stock common alloys and can source specialty materials for your project within 1–3 business days.

Aluminum (6061, 7075)

Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and offering excellent machinability. Aluminum is our most popular CNC material, ideal for enclosures, brackets, heat sinks, and structural components across aerospace, automotive, and consumer products.

6061-T6 7075-T6 Anodizable

Stainless Steel (304, 316)

Corrosion-resistant and high strength for demanding environments. Stainless steel is essential for medical, food-grade, marine, and chemical processing applications where durability and hygiene are paramount.

304 316 Medical Grade

Mild Steel (1018, 4140)

Strong, affordable, and readily weldable. Mild and alloy steels are the workhorses of industrial machining, perfect for jigs, fixtures, structural brackets, shafts, and components that require heat treatment for added hardness.

1018 4140 Heat Treatable

Brass (C360)

Excellent machinability with a beautiful decorative finish. Brass machines with minimal burring, making it ideal for fittings, valves, electrical connectors, decorative hardware, and instrumentation components.

Free-Cutting Decorative Conductive

Engineering Plastics

CNC-machined plastics deliver superior dimensional accuracy and surface finish compared to molded alternatives for low-volume production. Ideal for bushings, bearings, insulators, and chemical-resistant components.

Consumer Products

Enclosures, hardware, and precision mechanisms for consumer electronics, sporting goods, and lifestyle brands. We produce parts that look and feel like final production, accelerating your product development cycle.

From Design to Delivery

A disciplined five-step workflow ensuring precision and traceability at every stage.

01

CAD File Review

We analyze your design for manufacturability, verifying tolerances, identifying potential fixturing challenges, and confirming material selection. If we spot opportunities to reduce cost or improve machinability, we present those options before cutting begins.

02

Material & Method Selection

We choose the optimal material and toolpath strategy for your part based on its function, environment, and budget, recommending the best alloy or plastic and the most efficient machining approach to balance cost and performance.

03

CAM Programming

Precision toolpaths are generated using Fusion 360 CAM with optimized feeds, speeds, and step-over values. Every operation is simulated virtually to verify clearances, detect collisions, and confirm cycle times before the spindle turns.

04

CNC Machining

High-speed precision cutting begins. Raw stock is loaded, workholding is secured, tools are measured, and the program runs. Our machines are calibrated regularly and use high-quality carbide tooling for consistent, repeatable results.

05

Inspection & Finish

QC measurement and surface finishing complete every job. Critical features are measured with calibrated instruments and documented. Deburring, bead blasting, anodizing, or any specified surface treatment is applied before secure packaging and shipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What tolerances can you hold? +

Our standard machining tolerance is ± 0.005″ (± 0.127 mm) on all milled and turned features. For critical dimensions, we can hold ± 0.001″ (± 0.025 mm) for precision work with appropriate fixturing and in-process inspection verification. Always specify which dimensions are critical so we can allocate setup time accordingly.

What’s the minimum quantity? +

There is no minimum order quantity. Single parts are welcome. We regularly produce individual prototypes alongside production batches. Our pricing is transparent — you pay for setup time, material, and machining time. For higher quantities, per-part costs decrease because the setup cost is amortized across the batch.

What file formats do you need? +

STEP (.stp) and IGES (.igs) are our preferred formats for quoting and CAM programming, as they provide accurate geometry across all platforms. We also accept native SolidWorks (.sldprt) and Fusion 360 (.f3d) files. An accompanying 2D drawing with tolerances, surface finishes, and material callouts helps us provide the most accurate quote.

How long does CNC machining take? +

Standard lead time is 3–5 business days from order confirmation for typical parts in stock materials. Rush service is available for urgent projects — we can turn around finished parts in as little as 24 hours when needed. Lead times for large batches, complex multi-setup parts, or specialty materials are quoted on a project-by-project basis.
